"When our national office approached me in 2001 to see if our association could host an international tournament in Hawaii I had no idea if we could do it. One of our responsibilities was to provide rooms and transportation for teams coming in from all over the world. I heard about Outrigger / OHANA Hotels of Hawaii and called them. That was the best call I made. The staff at Outrigger / OHANA Hotels of Hawaii not only arranged all the rooms for all the teams and staff, but also assisted us in contacting companies for transportation for the teams. We have never had a complaint about the hotel and received nothing but great comments from our participants. Because of their efforts our national office have made the U.S. Cup a mainstay in Hawaii. I always recommend them to tournament directors when they want to host a tournament in Hawaii. Outrigger / OHANA Hotels of Hawaii, No Ka Oi!!!"

"My experiences at Outrigger have been first class and will last for a lifetime. As a coach who is always traveling with my team, my family, or myself I appreciate how Outrigger treats their customers. The staff is friendly, professional, and always there to lend a helping hand. The rooms are perfect for vacationing, tournaments, or games. The locations I have stayed at have been in the perfect areas to enjoy both the beach, sports access, shopping, and restaurants. Outrigger I salute your organization."

"The staff of the Outrigger & OHANA Hotels' Sports Sales Department has been a pleasure to work with. Their friendly "can do" attitude is so helpful and allows the coaches and administrators to concentrate on our teams and our competitions. I would highly recommend you contact the Sports Group Sales Department of Outrigger & OHANA Hotels, the next time you are planning your teams visit to Hawaii.

" In 2002 Hawaii Masters Swimming hosted the United States Masters Swimming Short Course National Championships at the University of Hawaii. These meets typically draw over 1200 participants on the mainland. As Co-Meet Director, one of my duties was to coordinate a host hotel and other hotels for the participants and officials. After meeting with Michele and Crystal from the Sports Marketing Department of Outrigger/Ohana Hotels, I decided that this hotel group would be ideal for our swim meet.
Certain factors made Outrigger/Ohana the perfect choice. First of all, there was an excellent variety of hotels to choose from. We wanted to have a few lower budget options, a few mid-range, and two more expensive choices. Plus, we knew many swimmers would be interested in kitchenettes. We were able to block rooms in all the desired categories of hotels, and Outrigger Reef on the Beach was an excellent "host hotel." The hotels we chose were all relatively close to each other, which made our shuttle route between the hotels and the pool very easy. The participants were happy with their accommodations, and were thrilled to be in the very lively part of Waikiki, with a lot of fun things to choose from when they were not at the pool. In addition, the hotels all allowed us to post our shuttle schedule in the lobby, which was a huge convenience.
Michele and Crystal were a pleasure to work with, always very responsive to our needs and requests. Crystal regularly updated us on the numbers of rooms booked. They blocked all the rooms we requested, and due to our large number of bookings, we were awarded with free rooms for some of our meet officials.
The meet committee was worried that the trip to Hawaii would not be affordable to many swimmers, and that our turnout for the meet would be low. We all agreed that the low priced hotel options made it much easier for the swimmers to afford to come, and our turnout was excellent, over 1100 competitors plus families and friends.
I would definitely choose Outrigger/Ohana again in the future. In fact, when swim teams visit from the mainland, I always send them information about this hotel group and recommend it as an excellent choice for the team.
